Quality Technician

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support food safety and quality assurance activities in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for performing inspections, collecting and analyzing quality data, and ensuring products meet established specifications and regulatory standards. The Quality Technician will work closely with the Quality and Production teams to help maintain product consistency, food safety compliance, and continuous improvement across operations.

salary: $52,000 - $62,400 per year
shift: Third
work hours: 11 PM - 7 AM

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
• Ensure products meet defined specifications, standards, and customer requirements
• Perform measurement, testing, and verification using inspection tools and techniques
• Collect, record, and analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Support adherence to food safety and quality systems including HACCP and GMPs
• Assist with documentation, batch records, and quality reporting requirements
• Identify and escalate non-conforming products or process deviations
• Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Work with Quality and Production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
• Conduct visual inspections and support use of inspection and detection systems
• Ensure compliance with ISO-based quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485 where applicable)
• Maintain accurate records for traceability and audit readiness
• Support sanitation and hygiene verification activities as required
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality improvement initiatives
• Assist in product holds, releases, and disposition decisions when needed
