Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (typical outpatient clinic hours)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 - $45.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve strength, coordination, fine motor skills, and functional performance
• Assist patients with therapeutic activities, adaptive techniques, and the use of assistive devices
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to maximize independence
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by the clinic)
• Outpatient experience preferred but not required
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Education

• Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and evidence-based practice
• Ability to implement treatment plans and adapt interventions as needed
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Team collaboration and interdisciplinary care coordination
• Documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
