Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the franchisee.(d.b.a Jersey Mike’s) perform various professional, administrative, and managerial functions in furtherance of assisting the Operations Partner (“Ops Partner”) in overall store operations. The Assistant Manager works with the Operations Partner in overseeing Crew Members in preparation and execution of food service, i.e., making great submarine sandwiches and other food products. The expectation of any employee is to uphold the highest level of all of Jersey Mike’s Subs operational standards.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

o   Sales and assisting in net operating profit of the business

o   Compliance with standard policies and procedures

o   Assisting with Crew Member training

o   Quality control and food safety

o   Security and protection of company assets

o   Compliance with all city, state, and federal codes and laws

o   Team building

o   Maintaining cleanliness in the appearance of Crew Members, seating area, food preparation area, and exterior of the restaurant at all times.

o   Additional responsibilities as may be required by the Operations Partner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

o   Considerable skill and knowledge in Crew Members relations; cooperative problem solving 

o   Experience and Ability to demonstrate effective leadership practices; communicate effectively; make basic decisions where established procedures do not always apply; operate a computer and apply various program applications both proprietary and non-proprietary to JM Franchise Systems, Inc. and This website is not operated by Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems. o   Access to a reliable personal vehicle (some travel required for training purposes)

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

o   Incumbent of the position performs constant vigorous physical tasks requiring long periods of standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and lifting, all generally involving moderate muscular strain in addition to seeing, hearing, and talking.  Safely using all store food preparation equipment for long periods with the required application of eye, hand and finger dexterity.  Must be able to lift and carry up to at least fifty (50) pounds unassisted.  Periodic local travel required in normal course of job performance.
