Life Safety and Security Officer

Life Safety and Security Officer is responsible for protecting employees, visitors, contractors, patients, and all properties of PPMW while providing high-level customer service. Responsibilities include: Patrolling the Health Center and grounds to detect threats, unauthorized persons/vehicles, suspicious packages, or property damage. Greeting visitors warmly, informing relevant employees of their arrival, assisting with sign-in on the Visitor Management System, issuing Visitor Badges, and escorting visitors as needed. Enforcing security access control procedures, including issuing facility access badges and verifying identity and employment status. Responding to incidents, completing reports, and notifying appropriate parties promptly. Monitoring building security cameras and surveillance systems. Assisting in building emergencies such as evacuations and fire alarms. Maintaining the orderliness of the reception area. Writing detailed incident reports and contacting relevant personnel. Monitoring visitor movement and ensuring authorized access. Promoting good public relations through courteous and professional interactions. Enforcing building rules and policies. Participating in required training and orientation programs. Performing additional security, customer service, or support functions as directed by supervisors. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform extensive walking, pushing, and bending.
