Nurse Practitioner - Clinic Orthopedic Surgery - $120K-140K per year

Job Description & Requirements Vista Staffing is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Orthopedic Surgery to work at a large private orthopaedic practice in Montgomery, Alabama. Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner Ongoing 40 hours per week 8 hours, days Staff Responsibilities Full‑time trauma orthopaedic surgery position with a large private orthopaedic practice Open to nurse practitioners and physician assistants with at least one year of surgical experience—first assistant/OR experience preferred Performs minor procedures in ambulatory setting to include suture/staple removal, pin or external fixator removal, minor debridements, and joint aspirations Participates in weekly clinic duties (minimum 3 days per week) and assists trauma surgeons and medical assistants in evaluating and managing patients with direct oversight and collaboration with the surgeon Responsible for inpatient duties one weekend per month, including rounding, consultations, and assisting in surgery as needed Responsible for night call (5 pm to 7 am) up to five nights per month for ED consults from trauma service Performs comprehensive hospital‑based examinations and documents them in a timely manner when on inpatient/hospital rotation Communicates and interacts daily with APP colleagues to facilitate care coordination and provides backup support to other trauma PA/NPs as assigned Can work autonomously without direct in‑office physician presence as per scope of practice Facilitates transition of care from inpatient to outpatient for patients with potential discharge from hospital Compensation commensurate with experience plus $10 K sign‑on bonus and full comprehensive benefit package Clinic and hospital located in Montgomery Qualifications Requires board certification and an Alabama license upon start #J-18808-Ljbffr
