CBA - Supply Technician - F5 Adversary Program - New Orleans, LA

Responsibilities Responsible to the Logistics Manager for the daily routine of researching, validating, initiating requisitions and maintaining daily correspondence and reports, performing requisitioning/procuring, inventory control, storing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and cataloging required material to support aircraft operations. The Supply Technician will review and interpret field-related blueprints, schematics, customer technical orders, quality assurance standard practices, maintenance instructions, military specifications, and Local Operating Instructions (LOI), and will interpret and comply with all Department of Defense (DOD), company and manufacturer directives and policies. The Supply Technician will attend meetings and conferences as necessary, and will be familiar with the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series instructions. The Supply Technician will ensure self‑directed adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, policies, and mandated Quality Assurance, Security, Explosive Safety and other applicable Navy/Air Force and company program requirements. The role may require the supply technician to act in a LEAD capacity. Read, understand and interpret all reports, directives, publications and manuals pertaining to the assigned responsibilities. Perform and accept responsibilities of a lead position when required. Provide training within your specialty/qualification/certifications to other employees. Work any shift assignment and overtime when required. Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Participate in the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Program when directed. Operate standard office equipment (telephones, typewriters, computer terminals, fax, copier and calculators). Use the Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA) Management Information System and Aviation Logistics Material Management System (ALMMS). Operate stationary and portable bar code readers. Visually inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects, and prepare written damage reports and disposal documentation. Design, develop, document and maintain requisition logs and files, stock records, and work‑accomplished records. Engrave, etch, tag or mark tools and equipment for accountability. Write item descriptions for new items entering supply channels. Use common hand tools to package, handle and transport equipment, supplies and materials. Maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) property. Review, interpret and analyze Activity Asset Reports and other related Support Equipment (SE) dispositions; determine and recommend allowance adjustments. Ensure all applicable security procedures. Adhere to the Tool Control Program and safety rules and regulations. Perform other duties and collateral duty assignments as assigned and directed by management. Prerequisites Superior personal integrity, maturity, judgment and aptitude to accomplish work functions and promote a quality work environment. Proficient reading and writing in English; effective verbal and written communication skills. Minimum Experience Requirements Four (4) years of experience in a DOD aviation/material control environment, familiar with DOD procedures, regulations and directives concerning logistics support and supply systems, including IMRL and ALMMS. Ability to provide training and indoctrination to assigned employees in Material Control operations. Completed approved courses or training required by company, state/local government or DOD. Valid state operator’s license and ability to pass government licensing requirements. Capability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Physical Demands and Work Environment Activities range from an office-like environment with extensive sitting to a flight‑line environment requiring frequent climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching and walking. Lifting of items exceeding 50 lbs is required. The job requires good close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. Work may take place in an office where noise hazards and exposure to fumes, airborne particles and electrical shock hazards are minimal, or in a flight‑line environment with inclement weather, high noise hazards and potential exposure to fumes and shock hazards.
