Flake Operator

We are pleased to recruit for a company whose corporate purpose is to create chemistry for a sustainable future and has been doing so for 150 years. Their portfolio ranges from chemicals, plastics, performance products and crop protection products to oil and gas. Their products and solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring nutrition and improving quality of life. Our client is expanding and seeking a Flake Operator in Spartanburg, SC.

Responsibilities:

·         Read, understand and follow SOPs.

·         Make boxes

·         Stage boxes and drums

·         Fill boxes/drums accurately

·         Maintain accurate count of boxes/drums filled

·         Start and stop flow from flaker

·         Start up and shut down flaker

·         Adjust flaker operating parameters for each product

·         Start, stop and adjust chiller system for each product

·         Clean flaker between product types

·         Stack and label boxes and drums

·         Drive forklift

·         Package finished products into drums and pails

·         Work safely and follow safety policies.

·         Maintain a clean work environment.

·         Follow all cGMP requirements.

·         Help Plant #4 Operator troubleshoot process problems.

·         Perform any other duties assigned by Lead Operator.

Requirements:

·         Willing to work any shift (normally 1-2 weeks advance notice given for shift change)

·         1 year manufacturing experience 

·         Ability to fill in numbers in Microsoft Excel.

·         Able to lift 50 lbs

Must have a valid driver’s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Location: Spartanburg, SC 29307

Pay Rate: The pay range for this position is $17.00 – 18.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Work Schedule : Onsite; Willing to work any shift (normally 1-2 weeks advance notice given for shift change)
