Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room provides high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Under the supervision of the Unit Director and Clinical Leader, the RN ensures patient safety, comfort, and efficient workflow throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative and postoperative patient care in accordance with hospital policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate patient care plans and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes or emergencies promptly.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure operating room standards are upheld.
• Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide supervision and support to ancillary staff and fulfill shift responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Maine RN license with BLS and ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Have telemetry experience is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking skills.
• Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 per state mandate.
