Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Overland Park, KS
Type: Full-Time/ Permanent
Shift & Schedule: Self-Scheduling Available | Schedules Posted 4 Weeks in Advance
Pay: Up to $46/hr (Based on Experience)
On-Call: Required During Designated Non-Business Hours
Relocation Assistance: Available on a Case-by-Case Basis

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an Registered Nurse - Operating Room for an exciting Local job in Overland Park, KS.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients prior to surgical procedures.

• Provide patient and family education regarding surgery and the perioperative process.

• Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy, medication administration, and surgical site verification.

• Participate in surgical safety protocols, including briefing, time-out, debriefing, and universal protocol compliance.

• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative experience and respond appropriately to emergencies.

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.

• Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and clinical changes.

• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing standards.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.

• Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience.

• Recent Scrub and/or Circulating experience.

• Acute Care Hospital experience.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in Kansas.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting multiple surgical specialties.

• Strong perioperative nursing and patient assessment skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
