Tech - Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization and processing of medical instruments and equipment in a healthcare setting. The role supports clinical operations by maintaining sterile procedures and complying with safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Operate sterilization equipment according to manufacturer and facility protocols.
• Document processing activities accurately and promptly.
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management and supply stocking within the sterile processing department.
• Float to similar units as needed, providing support across departments and receiving brief orientation.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing or related field.
• Hold current BLS and CBSPD certifications.
• Travel experience preferred, with ability to adapt to different facility environments.
• Must have a valid NM/Compact license or obtain prior to the start date.
• Comfortable working in day shifts (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM).
• Candidates within a 50-mile radius are considered; local applicants only.
