RN - Clinical Nurse


Job Details:


• Work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with no weekend or holiday shifts
• Set schedule with no on-call requirements
• Provide nursing care in a pulmonary medicine specialty clinic setting
• Care for adult patients with pulmonary diagnoses including COPD, asthma, chronic coughs, sleep medicine (CPAP and obstructive sleep apnea), snoring, shortness of breath, and patients on oxygen
• Manage in-basket tasks, prior authorization paperwork, FMLA documentation, and order entry
• Conduct oxygen walking evaluations to assess patient performance on room air
• Provide patient education on medications and handle medication refill requests
• Triage sick calls and answer patient questions through the portal
• Collaborate with a team including MAs, Patient Service Representatives, 5 MDs, 2 APPs, and a Respiratory Therapist
• May occasionally float to Summit Medical Center Pulmonary Ambulatory Clinic (approximately 25 minutes away) with advance notice
• Minimum 1 year of clinic experience required; pulmonary, cardiology, or primary/urgent care experience preferred
• Ambulatory EPIC experience required
• Proficiency with Pulse Ox equipment required
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage multiple priorities required
• Required certifications: BLS
• Valid driver's license and personal mode of transportation required
• Scrub color: Any solid color, professional - no graphics, logos, or designs


Facility:


This healthcare facility is a Physician Office Tower building housing several specialty clinics, including a pulmonary medicine clinic with 6 to 7 patient rooms and an average daily census of approximately 50 patients. The clinic operates in a collaborative unit culture with a supportive team environment and offers free parking for staff. The facility provides a structured two-week department orientation along with new employee orientation led by a supervisor.
