Mailer Packer – Georgia Pacific (McDonough, GA)Georgia-Pacific's Mailers is a part of the Packaging and Cellulose business, the Mailers business is expanding its product lines, working with key customers to create and launch one or more new products to complement our already thriving recyclable padded mailer business. We're hiring Packers for the Georgia Pacific facility in McDonough, GA! This is a temporary to hire role offering full time hours, overtime opportunities, and a chance to grow with a leading manufacturing company.What You'll Do:Perform visual quality inspections of finished productEnsure correct packaging materials, counts, and labelsStack product into boxes and onto skidsAssist line operators with wash-ups, changeovers, and startupsMaintain clean work areas and follow all safety proceduresRead and follow written and verbal job instructionsLift and move 20 to 25 lbs. regularly; repetitive handwork for 80% of shiftComfortable performing housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, picking up paper around the lines, and maintaining a clean work area.Other Considerations/Physical Requirements:Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment. Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment.Basic Qualifications:Ability to work the rotating 12 hour scheduleWilling to complete a background check and drug screening1 year of manufacturing production experience.Must provide your own steel toe bootsWhy Work with Us:Competitive payOpportunity for permanent hireWork in a modern, climate controlled facilityWe are an equal opportunity employer.
