Oncology Account Manager/Sr. OAM - Detroit, MI

The Role The Oncology Account Manager builds and maintains strong professional relationships with key customers and stakeholders in private practice, medical group practices, hospitals/academic medical centers, office, and ancillary staff involved in the care of cancer patients. The position requires representing the values of Genmab by providing approved disease and product information and resources to key decision makers and stakeholders within their assigned territory. The assigned territory for this role encompasses Detroit, Flint and Royal Oak, MI. Candidates must live within commuting distance of their assigned territory. Responsibilities Effectively support Genmab’s Oncology portfolio in the U.S. marketplace. Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for the territory by positioning the benefits and use of Genmab’s products for appropriate patients. Demonstrate effective time management by focusing on engagements that drive brand value and prioritizing activities that make a difference for patients. Develop and implement robust territory business plans centered on performance; meet or exceed territory productivity requirements. Flex between virtual and in-person engagements and develop business plans considering account communication preferences. Analyze key market data points and translate insights into effective business planning. Build strong, long‑term relationships with customers and continually challenge them with value‑based solutions. Represent Genmab’s brands in a professional, compliant, ethical, and effective manner. Demonstrate thorough understanding of disease states, Genmab’s brands, and relevant competitor products, articulating value through all communication mediums. Possess high proficiency in the reimbursement environment; understand reimbursement and fulfillment pathways for injectable medications. Exhibit highly effective territory management and superior selling competencies. Creatively gain access to customers in the modern landscape. Foster team effectiveness by sharing knowledge, experience, and information. Effectively manage territory resources and budget. Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing Genmab U.S. staff conduct. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 4+ years in sales, marketing, or clinical (pharmaceutical, biotech, rare disease, or patient care). 4+ years of demonstrated success in Oncology sales and/or account management; required for Senior Oncology Account Manager consideration. Oncology launch experience preferred. Strong account management capability with proven sales performance and a track record of meeting or exceeding goals. Strong business analytics skills to understand and act on business and market drivers, and to develop, execute, and adjust territory plans. Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key customers, office staff, and others in the influence network. Ability to work effectively in matrix teams. Track record of self‑driven performance enhancement. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams, Veeva, etc. Flexible, able to manage multiple tasks, with strong attention to detail. Effective communication skills with customers and internal/external contacts at all levels. Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Commitment to operating in alignment with industry laws, regulations, and high ethical standards. Salary $160,000.00 – $240,000.00 for U.S. based candidates. The actual offer will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location, and additional compensation such as discretionary bonuses and long‑term incentives may apply.
