Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch boasts its abilities to accommodate private events from 2-300 guests, and hosts events ranging from corporate meetings to a full wedding ceremony and reception. This is a great opportunity for an experienced bartender to join our dynamic events team.As an Banquet Bartender, you'll be responsible for serving up drinks for all kinds of events, from weddings to corporate events to community events and concerts. We are looking for genuinely warm and friendly candidates who love making people happy with the desire to go the extra mile for our guests. This job is perfect for someone who values a flexible schedule, a positive and casual environment, and being able to work independently.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTake orders and serve food to bar guestsTake beverage orders from serving staff and directly from patronsServe wine and beerMix and prepare cocktails and other drinksBalance receiptsVerify age requirements for purchase of alcoholMonitor drinking in excess of customersStock bar with beer, wine, liquor, etc.Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinksClean glasses, utensils and bar equipmentClean bar and work areaAssist with banquet service and cleanupPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assignedEducation, Experience and Required SkillsTwo years of bartender experience in an upscale-casual, high volume restaurant, or cateringKnowledge of wines, varietals and winemaking processAbility to learn and execute point of sale computer software proceduresEffectively communicate in a welcoming and professional mannerAbility to build/maintain a relationship with customers in a short period of timeAbility to function well as part of teamMust be well groomedAbility to work weekends and holidays, flexibility in schedule is desiredPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to stand and walk for long periods of timeAbility to remain calm under pressure and deal with unexpected situationsMust be able to lift, balance, and carry plates of foodMust be able to lift cases of wine on a daily basisMust be able to use both hands to handle, grasp, move and control objects, tools and equipment operationsMust be able to bend or twist bodyMust be able to lift and/or move up to 40 poundsMust be able to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlCompensation and BenefitsPart-time hourly positionCompensation: $33 per hourRetirement Savings (401k) includes generous company matchingWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
