Controller

Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the organization. Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and bank reconciliations. Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor organizational performance against the budget. Prepare financial forecasts and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), nonprofit accounting standards, and all federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate and manage annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors. Present financial information and reports to executive leadership. Monitor organizational cash reserves and investment accounts. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization. Strong working knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, fund accounting, and grant management. Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks required. Experience preparing financial statements, budgets, and audit schedules. Knowledge of federal and state nonprofit reporting requirements, including IRS Form 990. #J-18808-Ljbffr
