What You'll Do

As a School-Based Therapist, you'll provide direct mental health services to students while partnering with families and school staff to create positive outcomes.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to students.
• Complete Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, trauma screenings, threat assessments, and crisis plans.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community resources to support student success.
• Deliver crisis intervention and mental health support when needed.
• Participate in treatment planning, clinical teams, and service coordination meetings.
• Consult with teachers and administrators regarding student mental health needs and appropriate referrals.
• Support students transitioning back to school from higher levels of care.
• Provide education and training on mental health and wellness topics for school personnel.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge paperwork within required timeframes.
• Meet established productivity expectations.
• Participate in supervision, clinical staffing's, and team meetings.

Requirements:

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking compassionate, motivated clinicians who are committed to supporting youth and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related Human Services field.
• Active North Carolina licensure or associate licensure:
  • LCSW/LCSWA
  • LCMHC/LCMHCA (formerly LPC/LPC-A)
  • LMFT/LMFTA
  • LCAS/LCASA
• At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, or similar populations.
• Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning skills.
• Experience with electronic health records and digital communication platforms.
• Valid North Carolina Driver's License.
