Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (Operating Room) in San Antonio, Texas. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in the operating room environment, including ortho/neuro/plastics/ENT/Robotics surgical cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role requires the ability to work independently, deliver routine and complex patient care, and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of each situation.

Job Details:

• Location: San Antonio, Texas
• Schedule: 4 days, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, current BLS certification (American Heart Association approved), RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license, 0 years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, EPIC electronic medical record experience highly preferred
• Responsibilities: Provide nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor side effects and treatment effectiveness, document patient information, and educate patients and families.
• Additional Information: Backfill replacement for a vacant position, start date ASAP. The unit cares for ortho/neuro/plastics/ENT/Robotics patients with a focus on specialized perioperative nursing care.
