Research Scientist

Position Overview The Department of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is recruiting a Research Scientist in the Division of Geriatrics. The appointment will be at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Adjunct Professor. Candidates should hold an MD and/or PhD and demonstrate excellence in patient‑oriented research or biology of aging research. Qualifications MD and/or PhD; physician candidates ABIM certified in Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine or ABIM board‑eligible with completion of a fellowship in Geriatrics and/or Palliative Medicine. Demonstrated competence in the practice and teaching of clinical geriatrics and/or palliative medicine. Excellence in patient‑oriented research or biology of aging research. Extramural funding and/or career development award funding, with a plan to develop an independent research program in aging research. Recognized skills in teaching and mentoring in an academic and scientific institution. Benefits The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000–$333,700, determined by rank and step. The appointment includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, providing eligibility for additional compensation.
