Overview Spring Valley Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System (VHS), a network of acute care hospitals, physician practices and outpatient services in Southern Nevada. Located in southwest Las Vegas, the 366-bed hospital offers emergency care, cardiovascular and neurological surgeries, surgical services, women’s health, maternity services, and a level III neonatal intensive care unit. The ER at Blue Diamond, an extension of Spring Valley Medical Center, is a freestanding emergency department providing 24/7 care. Responsibilities Responsible for patient care/service and assigned duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course; or successful completion of an arrhythmia test given by the Education Department is preferred. Techs working with IVs must have successfully completed an IV course. License/Certification Current BLS Certification required. Approved Crisis Management Course required. Certificate of completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course preferred. Certified Phlebotomist preferred. IV Certification preferred.
