Position: Associate Attorney
Location: Austin, Texas
Experience: 1 – 6 years
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assist in case preparation, including document review and witness interviews
- Participate in court hearings, depositions, and trials under the supervision of senior attorneys
- Manage client communications, develop personalized client relationships, and maintain case files
- Contribute to business development efforts and firm marketing initiatives
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Top 25% of law school class
- Active membership in the Texas State Bar
- 1-5 years of litigation experience preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Familiarity with the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Evidence, and local court rules
Preferred Skills
- Experience in personal injury litigation and business and commercial litigation
- Superior legal writing, research, and drafting skills
- Proficiency in legal research (WestLaw/Lexis) and case management software
- Law journal experience
