Position Summary

We are seeking a Transportation & Logistics Supervisor to lead daily transportation and logistics operations involving materials, products, and medical samples. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, import/export, air freight, and cold chain operations , along with proven supervisory and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily transportation, logistics, distribution, and shipment activities.
• Manage domestic and international air/truck shipments , including shipment bookings and documentation.
• Prepare Master Air Waybills (MAWB), Bills of Lading (BOL), and Shipper's Export Declarations (SED) .
• Monitor import/export shipments, on-hold shipments, flight schedules, and shipment tracking systems.
• Maintain cold chain integrity , including gel pack preparation, configuration, and packaging refurbishment.
• Ensure product integrity, chain of custody, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate transportation resources, cargo space, vendors, and distribution activities.
• Monitor operational metrics and identify opportunities for process and cost improvements.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while managing workloads and performance.
• Resolve operational issues and communicate risks, status, and recommendations to leadership and clients.
• Maintain SOPs, operational procedures, reports, and required documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, distribution, or a related field.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with import/export and air freight operations .
• Experience with Air Waybills, Bills of Lading, shipment bookings, and export documentation/SED .
• Strong knowledge of cold chain/temperature-controlled logistics , preferably in pharmaceutical, healthcare, clinical, or medical environments.
• Experience with transportation tracking systems, logistics metrics, and operational reporting.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, quality, safety, and handling requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office .
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred

• CSCP, CLTD, CPIM , or similar supply chain/logistics certification.
• Healthcare, pharmaceutical, clinical supply chain, or medical sample logistics experience.
• Experience with reimbursement/patient assistance programs and database systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 25–70 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and standing/walking periodically.
• Approximately 75% computer-based work during the workday.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
