Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This position involves filling staffing vacancies with a focus on providing high-quality patient care during day shifts.

Position Information

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Medical Telemetry, Intermediate Care
Number of Openings: Multiple
Shift: Day
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Hours: 36 hours, every other weekend required
Call Requirements: None
Years of Experience: Minimum 1-2 years
Floating Requirements: Required to float to other units as necessary

Education & Certifications Required

Mandatory Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Mandatory Education: Completion of onboarding education

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 43
Patient Ratios: Day shift 1:4-5, Night shift 1:5-6, IMC 3:1
Equipment Used: Ventilators, BIPAP, CPAP, IV pumps, PCA pumps, specialty beds, tracheostomy care equipment, and more.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic

Hiring Profile

Required Skills/Experience: Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and telemetry strip interpretation.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience in medical telemetry and intermediate care.
Patient Population: Includes respiratory patients, medical telemetry patients, surgical cases, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and various acute/chronic medical conditions.
Personality Fit: Strong teamwork, flexibility, effective communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Scrub Color: Not specified
