Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule: Days, 8 hours, 40 per week

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Requirements:

Current nursing license
Specialized certifications in wound, ostomy, and continence care preferred
Previous experience in wound management and care

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide autonomously delivered care to medically complex patients in an acute care setting.
Conduct comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound, ostomy, and continence care programs throughout inpatient areas.
Serve as a resource for wound care management, including identification, assessment, treatment, and prevention.
Consult with multidisciplinary teams regarding patients with draining wounds, fistulas, and tubes.
Conduct rounds on patients with wounds/pressure ulcers and ensure updated information regarding wound care is communicated to nursing and medical staff.
