About the Position

AllTruckJobs is working with Averitt Express to find a qualified Dedicated Company Driver in Auburn, Georgia!

We are seeking a CDL-A flatbed driver to join our dedicated team on a local route offering consistent miles and a predictable schedule. This is an ideal opportunity for drivers who want to be home every night while enjoying steady work with regular customers. What You Can Expect:

• Weekly Pay: Average of $1,520 per week
• Annual Earnings: $79,000 per year
• Pay Per mile: Starting at $0.70 cpm
• Weekly Miles: Average 1,500-1,600 miles per week
• Stop Pay: $19.50 per stop (with an average of 25 stops/week, 30 minutes per stop)
• Additional Tarp Pay: $12 per stop in inclement weather only (total $31.50 per stop)
• Home Daily: Be home every night, no overnight runs
• Consistent Monday-Friday Schedule: Start between 4:00-5:00 a.m., finish between 3:30-6:00 p.m.
• 5 Dispatches Per Week: Regular schedule, no surprises

Route and Job Details:

• Trailers: P re-loaded - hook and go
• Freight: Flatbed hauling building material (dry wall, lumber, etc.)
• Service Area: Deliver to both retail and non-retail locations in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee
• Freight Handling: No-touch freight; live unloads handled by the customer
• Load Securement: Strapping required for all loads (straps provided)
• Tarping: Only in inclement weather (extra pay included)
• Stop Duration: Average 30 minutes per stop

Driver Responsibilities:

• Safety Gear: Hard hat and safety vest provided - must be worn when outside the truck
• Footwear: Steel toe shoes required (driver must supply)

Requirements

• Must live within a 75-mile radius
• Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
• Drivers must have a Class A CDL
• Must be 21 years of age
• No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
• No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 5 years
• No suspensions or revocations for a moving violation within the past 5 years
• No serious violations within previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with a fatality)
• No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
• No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years

Essential functions:

• Load freight -lift requirement: 80 lbs
• Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
• Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
• Lift and move side kits -lift requirements: 46 lbs
• Lift tarp - lift requirement: 110 lbs
• Apply and remove tarp(s) on load
• Secure load with chains and hardware -lift requirements: 80 lbs
• Climb onto and off flatbed trailer/load
• Count freight
• Complete fuel tickets
• Complete delivery receipt
• Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs
• Perform pre-trip inspections
• Drive
• Extensive travel - ability to sit upright for extended periods of time.
• Regular predictable attendance
