Job Description
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Summary of Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides technical nursing care to residents by utilizing the nursing process. The LVN functions as an integral member of the nursing team, working under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN). In certain circumstances, the LVN may take on the role of charge nurse within the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to residents in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Assist in the assessment and planning of patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
• Monitor resident health and report changes to the nursing team.
• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
• Provide support and education to residents and their families regarding health care needs.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality care and maintaining patient dignity.
