Role Description The Mental Health Clinician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area, providing direct mental health services to students and their families. This role includes conducting psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and delivering individual, group, and family counseling within a school-based setting. The clinician collaborates closely with teachers, school leaders, counselors, and support staff to promote student wellness, address behavioral and emotional needs, and support students’ ability to engage in learning. Day-to-day responsibilities include crisis intervention, case management, consultation with caregivers and community providers, and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings. The Mental Health Clinician also maintains accurate documentation, contributes to wellness initiatives, and supports a school culture aligned with CNCA’s values of equity, community, and belonging. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field; appropriate California licensure or registration (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, ASW, AMFT, APCC) preferred or in progress. Bilingual in Spanish (verbal and written) required Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, members of the community, and outside agencies. Ability to work with diverse populations, immigrants and underserved populations Must possess a strong knowledge of the common diagnoses and treatments for school-aged children Must possess the skills necessary to facilitate positive change in a school environment Must be able to maintain confidentiality Demonstrated ability to work with other professionals and law enforcement officials in the proper clinical treatment plan of clients Demonstrated ability to work with a team of other mental health supervisors participating in this mental health program and join the team in providing training and group consultation Experience or commitment working on a team as well as across teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Camino Nuevo Charter Academy
