Star Fleet Trucking-Transportation Clerk Overwidth Permitt

Permitter Reports to: Terminal Manager Summary Orders all permits for oversize/over height shipments Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Keeps up a construction restriction map daily. Prepares the routing for all trips keeping width and height in mind. Orders all state and county permits, some done online, some faxed to permit service or county offices. Monitors all annual permits issued to the drivers and sometimes ordering a new one if needed. Handles phone calls from drivers about routing issues. Prepares permit changes when needed because of trucks going down or house not measuring what factory reports. Packs trip envelopes with the permits needed plus trip sheets. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Windows, Spreadsheet Software, and be able to use online tools.
