Mammography Technologist Part-Time

Overview Envision Imaging is seeking a Part‑Time Mammography Technologist to join our team in Sunnyvale. Saturdays 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (2–4 per month). Pay range: $35.48–$45.74. Performs routine and diagnostic exams relating to breast anatomy and bone density to obtain images at a satisfactory level with minimal supervision. Essential Functions Interface with patient to ascertain medical history and provide instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image. Also provide patient education on breast self‑examination as needed. Review patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent; screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc. Obtain prior imaging as needed and perform high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation. Perform Bone Density and Mammography exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and after exam and notify the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time. Transfer images to other locations as needed. Coordinate procedure protocols with Radiologist. Maintain and regularly inspect equipment and immediately report any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies. Interface with Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns. Perform other duties as assigned. Professional Competencies Technical capacity. Ethical conduct. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Job Qualifications Minimum Qualifications / Experience: Two plus years’ experience in Mammography – preferred Two plus years’ experience in Bone Density – preferred Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed Detail oriented, self‑motivated, a problem solver and a team player Ability to excel in a very fast‑pace team environment Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation Education / Certifications Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification Registry in Mammography (M) Registry in Bone Densitometry (BD) through ARRT or Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) through ISCD Complete 40 hours of mammography orientation Complete 8 hours of 3D tomosynthesis training (if applicable) Current license from state medical board (if applicable) Current CPR/BLS certification Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this position.
