Senior Electronic Trading Specialist

The Senior Electronic Trading Specialist role is a mid-level individual contributor position in the Electronic Trading Services team based in Boston (or NY), responsible for managing all aspects of Linedata clients' electronic trading needs, including but not limited to project management, certification and configuration of the Linedata OMS, client and broker relationship management and telecommunications provisioning. Additionally, the Senior Electronic Trading Specialist will provide application issue escalation for 1st tier Production Services team and visit clients from time to time.

This position will require some weekend availability for maintenance, upgrades, and other potential project related work.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

· Technical account management of assigned Linedata ETS clients; ensure high level of service delivery and client satisfaction.

· Manage onboarding and certification process for existing and new Linedata ETS clients.

· Gather and analyze client requirements; create FIX specification and workflow design.

· Configure and test FIX connectivity between Linedata trading systems and client trading partners.

· Provide 2nd line support for all FIX issues to Linedata ETS clients and Linedata Helpdesk.

· Work closely with internal Linedata teams to drive new trading functionality and bug fixes to completion.

· Perform FIX certifications with all requested FIX endpoints including liquidity of all partner integrations (broker algorithmic interfaces, etc.).

· Work on related projects as designated by manager (internal projects, assistance to other groups within Linedata, etc.).

· Participate in team and company initiatives (attend weekly meetings and report back to team, contribute to internal projects to improve productivity and learning, assist in training, etc.).

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· 5+ years of experience in a financial services or software client support environment, preferably supporting OMS/EMS platforms.

· Candidates must be ambitious, self-driven, and looking to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to quickly and confidently assess risks, and associated urgency as it pertains to deliverables/tasks as they arise.

· Ability to thrive in a collaborative and team driven environment.

· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.

· Required exposure to buy-side investment and trading applications specifically Order and Execution Management Systems.

· Knowledge of IT infrastructure and Windows OS in a support related setting.

· Solid business acumen and awareness of trading/portfolio management/trade operations implications of decisions.

· Ability to function in an environment that requires flexibility, good judgment and sound decision-making based on limited information and/or extreme conditions.

· Ability to work during non-standard business hours including public/market holidays as needed.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol and basic networking concepts is required.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and encryption/security protocols such as PGP, SSL, and TLS.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Ability to write and interpret complex SQL queries.

• Working knowledge of database access and management tools, such as SQL Server Management Studio.

Compensation & Benefits (general)

The on-target earnings (OTE) for this role are expected to range from $105,000 to $130,000, including base salary and variable pay. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, geographic location, and market expertise.
