The Work: Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for an ambitious Software Engineer to become a member of the Training, Logistics and Simulation (TLS) Engineering and Technology Team. You will perform research and development on advanced modeling and simulation software for distributed training and collaboration. Areas of active technology research include augmented reality, advanced avatars, web based virtual worlds and game based immersive training environments. We conduct this work for US DoD. You will participate in the entire software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, integration, installation and test. Typical tasks include development of simulations of new vehicles, AI-based behavior development, physics based modeling of systems, enhancement of graphical system performance, and integration with operational systems. Projects are executed by small teams; each member must meet their commitments for the team to succeed. This position is for a web-based product that is in ongoing development. You will be expected to hit the ground running, quickly learning the architecture and implementing new capabilities in a system that is rapidly deployed to warfighters. This position will require the selected candidate to have the ability to obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

National Pay Statement: Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $62,700 - $110,630. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
