The Mechanical Supervisor will collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering leaders to execute short-term and long-term maintenance strategies that support the safety, reliability, and performance of the area’s equipment. This role reports to the Mechanical Superintendent.Our TeamThe Brunswick Cellulose facility is one of the largest integrated fluff pulp mills in the country with a modern woodyard, fiberline, three paper machines, waste treatment plant, and utilities operations. The Brunswick Cellulose Mill, located in the southeast corner of Georgia is within minutes of downtown Brunswick and about an hour from Jacksonville, FL to the south and Savannah, GA to the north. What You Will DoLead the performance and development of the mechanical maintenance team by demonstrating strong leadership and reinforcing best practicesDevelop and manage weekly schedules for mechanical maintenance crafts based on planned work, and assign resources to planned work ordersManage mechanical maintenance resources and work orders, prioritizing safety-related work orders and preventive maintenance activitiesInvestigate injuries and ensure incident reports and root cause analyses are completed, including appropriate follow-up actionsApply economic thinking when addressing resource gaps and maximizing crew efficiencyManage contractors supporting routine maintenance workSupport the Asset Maintenance Work Process (AMWP) by:Providing daily updates on scheduled work and emerging liabilitiesReviewing precision maintenance sheets and sharing relevant information with operationsSupporting maintenance key performance indicators, including schedule adherence, preventive maintenance compliance, and resource utilizationClosing work orders and providing feedback to planners to support continuous improvementWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience applying reliability, predictive maintenance, and preventive maintenance techniquesExperience performing mechanical maintenance, including repairing or troubleshooting industrial equipment such as pumps and tanks, in an industrial or manufacturing environmentExperience using analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex equipment or maintenance issuesWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor’s degreeKnowledge of steam-powered turbinesExperience using a computerized maintenance management system, such as 4Site, Passport, AssetSuite, or SAPExperience in the pulp and paper industry or woodyardExperience leading root cause failure analysesExperience implementing precision maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliabilityExperience leading teams of hourly employeesAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
