Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN)needed for a temp contract opportunity   with Yoh’s high-tech manufacturing/engineering client located in Long Beach, CA.
---> Job is expected to start ASAP for orientation and full-time coverage needed from September 30th through December 7th.

This clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees onsite. Duties will consist of first-aid, basic walk-in care (minor acute care like colds, rashes, pink eye, etc.), assisting with surveillance exams, responding to medical emergencies, and a lot of computer work.
--> SHIFTS: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm and potential for orientation to be earlier, 6:00am to 2:30pm.

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of California
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
• Prior experience in: Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, School Nursing, Corrections or Family Medicine type setting
• Recent clinical experience and computer literate

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Provide wellness materials/information
• Medical surveillance exams (ie Respiratory Medical Clearance)
• Provide medical testing such as pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of tests
• Refer to higher level of care
• Respond to emergencies and provide emergency medical care for employees onsite

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Previous experience using EMR and MS Office products
• BLS certified
• Must have proof of US Citizenship (ie valid US Passport or original US Birth Certificate) for security clearance/badging
