Leasing Agent

About this position Title: Leasing Agent Reports To: Property Manager Purpose: Take ownership of leasing apartments to continually maintain a competitive occupancy for the community in the marketplace. Real Estate Equities is looking for a Leasing Agent to join our team. The schedule is Tuesday‑Saturday during the peak leasing time (summer/fall). Job Duties and Responsibilities Meet or exceed budgeted occupancy requirements by creating a positive prospect experience, managing the Knock leasing platform, scheduling tours, responding to inquiries, processing background checks, ensuring candidates meet screening requirements, and processing affordable housing eligibility paperwork. Process resident applications and follow up with residents to gather necessary paperwork for leasing or renewal. Complete monthly pricing analysis of competitive buildings to optimize pricing and promotions. Provide residents and applicants with exceptional customer service and foster good resident relations. Report any issues with vacant apartments that would deter the ability to rent and guide residents to appropriate staff. Attend compliance training and regular training/meetings. Participate in resident activities and outreach programs. Be a valuable part of an effective on-site team and perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements 1-3 years of previous leasing or related sales experience Yardi experience preferred Knock experience preferred Previous affordable housing experience with Section 8, LITHC, and Tax Credit preferred Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi‑task/meet deadlines Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Maintain a professional office environment and treat coworkers and residents with respect Ability to understand and follow instructions Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and ability to apply them in daily interactions with residents, applicants, and prospects Consistently follow, enforce and support Company screening criteria as required by Fair Housing Laws and Company policy Physical Requirements Ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer Ability to lift up to 10 pounds Salary Information $20 - $22 hourly wage #J-18808-Ljbffr
