The Palletizer operator is responsible for placing packaged and boxed products onto the pallet and maintaining an accurate count of boxes. Ensures that each box contains the correct labeling, coding, and other box markings. Assumes the responsibility for the operational flow of the line. Adheres to all policies and procedures.Key responsibilities for this position include:Stack finished product neatly on pallets.Affix boxes to pallets with shrink wrap so pallet may be moved by forklift drivers.Ensures labeling is correct and legibly displayed and completes the finished goods sheet.Interact with associates to maintain efficient process flow.Maintain open line of communication with all the line workers and supervisor.Perform sanitation duties as assigned.Report problems and/or concerns to the on-duty supervisorAttend departmental meetings and training as assigned.Apply the safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed.Take necessary measures if people are performing unsafe acts or are in an unsafe environment.Perform other work duties as assignedQualified applicants will contribute the following:EducationHigh School Diploma or completion of GED preferred but not required.Experience1–2 years of experience in machine operations and palletizationExperience with CIP and COPSpecialized KnowledgeNo specialized knowledge required.Skills / AbilitiesOral and written communication skillsComfortable working in wet, hot, and humid conditions for extended periodsAbility to manage multiple tasks at once with frequent interruptionsAbility to work independently and be part of a teamKnowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning productionsAbility and willingness to adhere to attendance requirements, including regular and punctual attendanceAbility to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgroundsAbility to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe work.Professional CertificationsNo professional certifications requiredAt Lactalis, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards Program with a variety of affordable benefits and coverage options.
