Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Schedule

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing with pediatric experience, and an ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Conduct triage assessments, manage trauma cases, and respond to critical situations such as stroke, sepsis, and cardiac arrest.
• Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun as required.
• Float to different areas within the department as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with pediatric experience preferred.
• Travel experience is required.
• Current RN licensure in New York State.
• Active certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Skills checklist matching specialty.
• NURSYS Report for license verification with active NY license and all RN licenses noted.

Unit Specifics

• Unit: Emergency Department with 64 beds, including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psych beds.
• Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
