The Engineer performs the technical design, execution, and delivery of projects in collaboration with a Project Engineer or Project Principal. Role will execute and ensure quality throughout the design process to meet our clients’ needs and expectations.Your Key Responsibilities• Develops and helps advance the structural analysis, design, documentation, and construction administration of building projects. For smaller projects and for certain activities the work may be self-performed.• Participates in virtual and in-person project meetings, workshops, in-person site observations, and other similar activities in support of Stantec’s project delivery.• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; conducts project reviews and approvals before all QA/QC reviews done by the technical authority.• Coordinates well with all disciplines to fully integrate work and client requests into design.• Engages with mentors for advancing technical skills, developing project management and people skills, and executing at a high level which meets or exceeds Stantec standards.Your Capabilities and Credentials• Basic knowledge of engineering practices and principles in own discipline and in other disciplines.• Able to conceptualize and develop solutions for multifaceted systems and interactions with varied disparate components.• Strong technical and analytical skills and experience.• Proficient in applicable software (ie, REVIT and CAD among others)• Equipped to analyze, problem solve; organized and attentive to detail; flexible and collaborative.• Able to independently resolve complex problems within the engineer’s discipline.Education and Experience• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent education and experience required.• Minimum 3 years related industry experience.• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) or other professional license is preferred.This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.About StantecStantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
