Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).Echodyne is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our fast-growing team.RESPONSIBILITIESPerform radar enclosure and associated PCBA integration designCreate engineering drawingsPerform thermal, structural, and modal analysisSupport integration and field-testing activities for Echodyne’s MESA-based productsConduct enclosure trade-studies/sketchesPerform detailed CAD designConduct hand calculations and FEA simulationAnalyze customer environment specifications and tailor solutions accordinglyManage fabrication vendors from prototype through productionImplement Product Life Management processes and controlsOther related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the businessREQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCEProficient user of Solidworks for mechanical design and draftingEngineering experience in electronics enclosure design, with understanding of thermal, electrical, and environmental considerationsKnowledge of the mechanical considerations of PCBA design and PCBA packagingExperience designing parts for different fabrication processesAbility to perform limited thermal, stress and modal analysis sufficient for design concept validationAbility to perform tolerance analysis for complex assembliesAbility to work design projects independently from initial concept to deliveryExperience working on design of complex technology that requires multi-disciplinary engineering design teamsQUALIFICATIONSBS, MS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience.Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.  Therefore, we will ask you as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S.WHAT WE OFFERThis is an exempt role.The expected annual salary range for this role is$104,030—$155,839 USDIf your skills generally align but not perfectly, please apply anyway.
