About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients in a 40-bed PACU at a 1:2 patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients on ventilators and other standard PACU equipment
• Document patient assessments and care using Cerner electronic health record system
• Participate in 6-week scheduling cycles, including 3 required call shifts per 6-week period
• Float within the peri-anesthesia service line, including Endoscopy, Pre-Op, and Phase II areas as needed
• Collaborate with HUCs and PCTs to coordinate patient care, lab draws, catheterizations, and transport

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale experience
• Proficiency with ventilator monitoring
• Ability to wear surgical green or navy scrubs per unit dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma nursing experience
• Pediatric patient care experience
• Familiarity with Cerner documentation system
