Investment Banking Analyst - Audit/TAS (Chicago)

A leading global mid-market investment bank is seeking an Experienced Investment Banking

Analyst to join its Chicago office. This is a near-term opportunity for a professional with 1–2 years of experience in Audit or Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) to transition into a high-impact, client-facing investment banking role.

The Analyst will work across M&A, special situations, and financing transactions , gaining direct exposure to senior bankers, clients, investors, and counterparties throughout the transaction process.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed financial models, including DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and LBO analyses
• Conduct company and industry research to support live transactions and business development
• Prepare confidential information presentations, management presentations, pitch materials, and other client deliverables
• Support due diligence, transaction processes, and data room management
• Work directly with clients, investors, and other transaction counterparties
• Assist senior bankers throughout the full deal execution process

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of full-time experience in Audit or Transaction Advisory Services (TAS)
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Strong financial modeling, accounting, and valuation skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
• Available to start in the near term
