Security Officer - Visitor Screening

Job Description

As a Security Officer Visitor Screening in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor screening points, conduct x-ray inspections, and support security-related procedures for people and packages. Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols, and report unusual activity, access concerns, and/or policy violations to site contacts.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to post procedures.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipment-related documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting operational concerns, equipment issues, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
