Job Title: Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)

Job Summary:
The QMHP provides, treatment, case management, Mobile Crisis Response and Community Stabilization services to children, adolescents, adults, or families experiencing mental health challenges. The QMHP works collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote recovery, improve daily functioning, and support treatment goals. 

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized treatment or service plans.
• Provide individual counseling or psychoeducation (within the scope of state regulations).
• Teach coping, communication, emotional regulation, and independent living skills.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services when needed.
• Monitor client progress and modify interventions as appropriate.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, therapists, schools, medical providers, and community agencies.
• Connect clients with community resources, housing, employment, and support services.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical supervision.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid, and agency policies. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current QMHP certification or registration, if required by the state.
• Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, crisis intervention, and evidence-based practices.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in community or clinical settings. 
• Mobile Crisis Response Training

• Experience with trauma-informed care.
• Crisis management and conflict resolution.
• Motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral interventions.
• Cultural competence and client advocacy.
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
