The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $78,870- 103,191 per year. This role is also eligible for SCs annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliLeadership People Management: Uphold and promote a professional work environment, addressing minor conflicts and fostering teamwork in line with SCs values. Monitor team tasks and provide regular feedback, both constructive and encouraging. Recognize and acknowledge team achievements and guide team members toward growth opportunities through mentoring and coaching./liliDepartment Leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership support for the department, including supporting all administrative tasks completion, issue resolution, and the seamless coordination of resources. Supervise and guide the team to ensure all job orders and daily metrics are met./liliFabrication Operations: Oversee and guide team members on fabrication processes and workflows, coordinating with department leaders and cascading best practices down to team members through team leads. Ensure team members have the correct training, knowledge, and fabrication equipment to complete their work successfully. Support the planning and coordinating of department production schedules, production rates and capacity plans, processing methods, and times. Review and ensure team understanding of goals and oversee the upkeep of KPI boards./liliQuality Management: Conduct inspections of welded parts, finished products or other fabricated materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and initiating corrective actions when needed. Enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed company standards. Support initiatives to continuously improve product quality and consistency. Set and maintain high levels of product quality. Support communication of corrective action plans, resolutions, and quality results./liliHealth Safety Compliance: Promote safety awareness and housekeeping, investigate and report on safety incidents, maintain and promote a safety-conscious manufacturing environment, enforce health and safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to production operations./liliReporting: Create production and status reports. Communicates regularly with upper management regarding problems impacting production. Reports issues regarding production, quality, maintenance, or personnel to function leadership./liliBudget Support: Support the Manager in overseeing departments budget, providing recommendations and helping to review expenditures./liliCompliance : Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules/li/ulh3What Youll Need To Succeed/h3ulliHigh School Diploma / GED Equivalent/liliKnowledge and understanding of metal fabrication processes, including best practices for fabricating and finishing metal in the assigned area (i.e. Welding, Painting, Grinding, or Electroplating best practices)./liliGood leadership skills within a manufacturing environment, with an ability to lead, guide, motivate, and delegate to deliver results./liliSolid critical thinking, organizational, planning, and project management skills, creative problem-solving when obstacles arise./liliGood interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience./liliGreat communication skills, (written, verbal, listening, and presentation) able to liaise with internal stakeholders from support staff to function leadership./liliAdequate financial math skills with the ability to support budgetary decisions./liliGood analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions and problem-solve issues./liliProven success partnering across teams, creating effective partnerships at all levels, and collaborating at an operational level./liliAdapts to change and different ways of doing things quickly and positively and finds ways to get things accomplished, even when faced with challenges./liliGood analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to leverage data to distil trends and insights that drive continuous improvement/li/ulh3Preferred/h3ulliProficient computer skills, including experience using Oracle HCM and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)/liliAssociates degree in a technical discipline, Operations, Engineering, or a related field./liliExperience with Press brake machines or other types of machining equipment/liliDecision-making capabilities with an ability to make balanced and informed decisions that help SC achieve business goals/liliKnowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment/liliThe ability to work beyond normal working hours according to company needs/li/ulh3Physical Demands/h3ulliStanding: Occasionally required to stand and perform tasks for up to approximately 2 hours at a time, 5 days per week/liliSitting: Frequently required to remain in a stationary position and perform desk-based or production tasks for up to approximately 2 hours at a time, 5 days per week/liliWalking: Frequently required to walk moderate distances across the S and C campus multiple times per day, 5 days per week/liliLifting and Carrying: Infrequently required to solo lift and/or carry items ranging in weight from 5 lbs to 40 lbs, exercising sound judgement to employ manual handling or machine lifts where required and risk assessments, if appropriate/liliLow Posture: Infrequently required to perform tasks using a low posture including but not limited to stooping, bending, crawling, crouching, kneeling or squatting/liliPosition Self/ Move: Occasionally required to position self to perform tasks involving but not limited to reaching, twisting, rotating, and pushing/pulling/liliManual Dexterity: Occasionally required to use hand-eye coordination to control both hands and arms for a full range of motion to operate equipment/machinery/power tools/liliAscending/ Descending: Infrequently ascending or descending ladders and stairs/liliObservation/ Eyesight: Frequently required to observe details at close range including depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to differentiate between colors/liliCommunication: Continuously required to talk and hear, in person and by phone/conference calls, using oral expression to communicate information/liliAvailability: Occasionally required to work extended hours when necessary/li/ulh3About Us/h3pIn 1909, SC Electric Company transformed the delivery of safe, reliable electricity with the invention of the Liquid Power Fuse.
