Because our employees are usually involved in several projects at one time, involving numerous team members (such as project manager, engineer, and CADD technician/designer), exceptional communications skills and the ability to work well with others is essential. Responsibilities: • Design HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
• Perform load calculations. • Select systems and equipment. • Work closely with the project team and communicate with project managers. • Learn and maintain the drafting standards as established by the design team. • Coordinate documentation to ensure information is correct. • Assist with site surveys.
• Assist with preparation of project proposals, contracts, reports, and specifications. • Continuously expand knowledge and skills necessary to design MEP/FP systems. Requirements
- B. S. in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
- Three or more years of experience in the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- PE or EIT is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge/Understanding of LEED and Green Building practices a plus
- Knowledge of the Building Codes, ASHRAE Standards, and National Fire Protection Association Standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work in office or remotely, as needed
