Become the Purchasing Agent you've always aspired to be Coordinate and oversee daily workflow to ensure efficient operations of the department. Negotiate prices and contracts with outside vendors. Manage the purchase order process for hospital supplies. Ensure that required documentation and inventory logs are maintained in accordance with policy. Perform a physical inventory as required by hospital policy. Review and update all departmental policies and procedures. Maintain and manage purchasing process to ensure that par levels are consistently met. Manage inventory to optimize the cost of supplies and equipment. Maintain a daily rental equipment log. Order medical and clinical supplies for the hospital. Forward all invoices to accounts payable for timely processing. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred. 2-3 years of hospital supply and purchasing management preferred.
