Wholesale Sales Assistant

Role Summary You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced wholesale environment supporting major department store accounts. You bring strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating cross-functionally. A passion for retail with an interest in sales operations and the ability to translate data into actionable insights that support a growing wholesale business. Responsibilities Support the Sales team in managing key wholesale accounts and ensuring operational excellence across reporting, order management, shipping, and market readiness. During market, support all aspects of market appointments and preparation, send order confirmations, pull and update weekly selling reports, process re-orders and RTVs. Manage shipping and fulfillment (past cancels, oversold, etc.) and assist the Sales team as needed. Provide account and sales support: assist Account Managers in day-to-day management of major wholesale accounts; pull and analyze weekly selling reports (style, door, topline performance); prepare materials for weekly sales and client meetings. Review eCommerce sites to monitor assortment, pricing, and promotional activity; manage sample imagery and copy for each account; coordinate with the marketing team for seasonal SPA styles. Support order management, EDIs and shipping; maintain shipping logs and track order status through the fulfillment lifecycle; monitor delivery windows and escalate issues as needed. Process RTVs; assist cross-functional teams to resolve processing or quality issues ahead of ship windows. Market & Product Support: assist in market preparation and execution (Nuorder line sheets, sample coordination, showroom setup); enter market orders and support assortment planning decks; manage multi-category sample inventory; ensure data accuracy for product detail pages, imagery, and line sheets. Prepare merch guides prior to market and reconcile SAP orders against account order sheets to identify disconnects. Reporting & Analytics: pull available-to-sell (ATS), propose reorders to accounts; generate monthly and seasonal performance reports; identify trends, risks, and opportunities to inform business decisions. Qualifications Prior Sales, Planning, Buying experience is preferred or relevant experience such as industry-related internships or working with a wholesale account (Specialty or Major Department store) for 1-2 years. Proficient in Excel, especially VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, with a strong understanding of retail math concepts. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
