Exciting NICU Role - Physician Assistant in Waterbury, CT

Our organization is on the lookout for skilled Pediatric Physician Assistants (PAs) to become part of our dedicated team in the Special Care Nursery (SCN) and Newborn Nursery. This position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, offering 24/7 coverage throughout the year. The chosen candidate will collaborate with a team of seasoned providers and neonatology specialists, ensuring high-quality care for newborns in both the SCN and Newborn Nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to high-risk deliveries
• Admit and oversee infants in the SCN through daily rounds and necessary procedures
• Provide care for well babies in the Well Baby Nursery, including admissions and daily documentation
• Engage in Pediatric Codes and trauma responses within the Emergency Department

Essential Skills / Procedures:

• Intubation
• Catheterization of umbilical arteries and veins
• IV placement
• Lumbar punctures
• Urinary catheterization
