Occupational Therapist

Mass General Brigham Home Care provides non-acute, medically necessary skilled care in the home to help "homebound" patients recover from illness or injury and manage exacerbations of chronic disease. Services include skilled nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, medical social services, and as needed medical supplies. We are seeking a full-time, Occupational Therapist to join the "Adams" team. This position will work in Quincy and Mattapan. The entire team also supports the following territories: Avon, Braintree, Canton, Holbrook, Milton, Randolph, and Stoughton. Anticipated daily volume is 5-6 visits per day plus chart review, visit preparation, documentation, and care coordination.

Provide occupational therapy services to patients in their place of residence who have impairments, cognitive and/or physical resulting from injury, disease, disability or other causes. Collaborate with patient, family, physician and other allied health professionals to identify patient needs and coordinate services to meet those needs. Manage technical, environmental and financial resources.

Education/Degree Requirements: Licensure, Certifications or Registration Required: Registered with the Board of Registration in Massachusetts. Experience: Two years experience in acute care, rehab or homecare as an Occupational Therapist. Ability to work with various computer software required and knowledge of hand-held patient care computer devices preferred. Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations. Excellent verbal, written and electronic communications skills. Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing situations. Travel required within Mass General Brigham Healthcare at Home's geographic area.
