Emeritus is seeking a talented, passionate, and detail-oriented Architect or Designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Principal, project team, clients, consultants, and construction professionals to develop thoughtful architectural designs and practical solutions from initial concept through completion.

The ideal candidate has professional experience in residential and commercial design and a strong portfolio demonstrating successful projects. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of architectural detailing, construction documentation, building systems, and applicable codes and regulations. A Massachusetts-licensed Architect is preferred but not required.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Manage architectural projects from Design Development through project completion.

· Develop and coordinate construction documents, details, and specifications.

· Organize, prepare, and manage documents required for permitting and regulatory approvals.

· Ensure projects comply with applicable local and state building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

· Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and other construction professionals.

· Develop architectural designs and translate design concepts into clear, coordinated construction documents.

· Participate in project meetings, site visits, and construction administration as required.

· Assist in coordinating project schedules, deliverables, and deadlines across multiple projects.

Requirements & Qualifications

· 3+ years of professional experience as an Architect, Architectural Designer, or Drafter in an architectural firm.

· Experience preparing construction documents, architectural details, and permit drawings.

· Strong understanding of residential construction methods, building systems, materials, and local building codes.

· Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

· Strong design, technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project professionals.

· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Professional presentation skills and the ability to participate confidently in client and project meetings.

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.

· Massachusetts architectural license preferred.

· A strong portfolio demonstrating residential and/or commercial architectural experience.
