Team Lead - Outbound

Location: 95 Aubuchon Dr, Westminster, MA 01473-1470
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 6am-3pm
Pay Rate: $25.87 per hour

Job Summary

The Team Lead - Outbound is responsible for overseeing daily outbound warehouse operations and providing leadership to warehouse associates to ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely shipment of customer orders. This role serves as a working lead, supporting team performance, safety, productivity, quality, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The Team Lead demonstrates strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, inventory movement, and material handling processes while serving as a resource and mentor to team members.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibilities
  
  • Lead and support daily outbound activities, including order picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
  • Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to team members to meet productivity and service goals.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Train, coach, and assist associates on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and best practices.
  • Verify quantities, product information, destinations, and shipment schedules using various source documents and warehouse management systems.
  • Ensure accurate processing of outbound shipments and completion of required documentation.
  • Perform and oversee material handling functions including receiving, storing, moving, and shipping inventory as needed.
  • Safely operate and support the use of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other motorized equipment.
  • Utilize weighing, banding, wrapping, labeling, and packaging equipment to prepare shipments.
  • Assist with inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and inventory control activities.
  • Communicate operational updates, issues, and priorities to management and team members.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required
  
  • 1 to 3 years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience.
  • Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring employees in a warehouse environment.
  • Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents, reports, and work instructions.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
• Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
