IT Support Specialist (Austin-5 days onsite)

Overview We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join a growing IT services team. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys solving technical issues, delivering exceptional customer service, and building foundational IT experience in a fast-paced environment. The IT Support Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for end users, providing remote technical support and escalating more complex issues when necessary. Responsibilities Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and remote support tools. Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software, operating system, and application issues. Log, document, and manage support requests through the organization's ticketing system. Escalate advanced technical issues to senior engineers while maintaining communication with end users. Assist with user account administration, password resets, and access requests. Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting and support. Follow established support processes, documentation, and service level expectations. Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation as required. Deliver professional, timely customer service while maintaining accurate technical documentation. Qualifications Experience providing desktop or help desk technical support in a professional environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments is preferred. Previous experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment is a plus.
